In the final episode of the series, Tim drives to Omaha to catch up with the proverbial road-dogs The Black Lips then heads for Richmond, Virginia to investigate the mythical Slave Pit. The home of intergalactic humanoid barbarian metal band Gwar, the Pit is where their slaves spend months preparing their elaborate stage show.

Hutch and Queens of the Stone Age

Jesse goes to The Wiltern theatre in LA to meet legendary soundman Hutch as he works on a special performance by Queens of the Stone Age. He also talk sto Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen from the band about the band/roadie relationship and why Hutch is essentially a member of QOTSA.

Heavy Metal

Jesse swings by the Golden Gods Awards as anyone who’s anyone in metal arrives on the black carpet and asks them why there isn’t an award for roadies. He then pays a visit to probably the most notorious metal roadie of all time, Jef Hickey who has worked with the likes of Motorhead and Megadeth.

Steel Panther: Kings of the Sunset Strip

After a tour of the legendary Sunset Strip, Jesse heads for the House of Blues to meet Nick Rucker, the one man road crew for Steel Panther, the band that has been paying homage to the music, questionable style and hedonism of 80s style hair metal for the last ten years and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Women on the Road

After the bad behaviour witnessed onstage at Steel Panther, Jesse investigates the women in rock’n’roll, firstly with one of his heroes and mentors Ian Astbury of The Cult and then in a discussion with three women who know more about the business than most: Megan Tobin, ex-lighting tech for the likes of Metallica, Michael Jackson and Guns’n’Roses, Patty Schemel, ex-drummer for Hole and Laura-Jean Hyde who has worked on tours with acts like Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie.

Desert Rock and Fucked Up

First of two episodes where Jesse ventures to the Palm Desert region, a place very close to his heart. After a tour of the Coachella Valley and a quick visit to see him mum, Jesse heads to Palm Springs to catch a bizarre impromptu show by punk warriors Fucked Up in a hotel diner.

Rancho de la Luna

Next stop is Rancho de la Luna, a mystical place and spiritual home of the desert rock scene. Rancho is a recording studio where the likes of Arctic Monkeys, UNKLE and PJ Harvey have come to try to recreate the spirit of the original desert bands. After a jam session with his fellow Eagles of Death Metal man Dave Catchings and his girlfriend, acclaimed adult filmstar Tuesday Cross, Jesse persuades them to play a live show at a party in the desert.

Pyro Pete

In Series Two of On The Road, Tim starts his cross-country adventure in Alberquerque, New Mexico where of course he gets his priorities right and goes straight for a local diner to sample the local speciality - green chili cheese fries. He then heads for Pyro Pete's legendary workshop to meet the world's most celebrated pyrotechnician of all time. This man has set things on fire for ACDC, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Rolling Stones and many more and has even blown his own face off in the name of rock.

On The Road: Pyro Pete has blown stuff up for ACDC and Kiss. And set his face on fire. So a little respect please.

The World\'s Oldest Roadie

In episode two of the new series of On The Road, Tim heads for Stillwater, Oklahoma to meet officially the world's oldest roadie. Ben Dorcy III is 86 years old and is a country music legend, having worked with the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline. He also still gets a lot of chicks.

Austin Psychfest

In the third episode with Tim Harrington at the helm, the On The Road van reaches Austin, Texas and in particular a psychedelic music family camped out in a disused power plant. Psychfest curator and headliners The Black Angels explain how and why them and some friends playing music in a bar turned into a movement.

On the Road: Psychfest only lasts 3 days but for most people there it feels like at least a year. In a good way.

The House of Shock

New Orleans is the destination for episode 4 of OTR series two as Tim meets legendary metal roadie Steve J at his new home, the House of Shock. Having worked with bands like Pantera and Black Sabbath, Steve still spends time on the road but his priority now is running the most pant-shittingly scary haunted house in the world.

Episode #11 Released - 13 December

The Mangler

Tim reaches Nashville: Music City and before checking out the local kids putting on rock shows in their houses and swinging by Jack White's Third Man Records emporium, he meets probably the most famous roadie of all time. Phil Kaufman aka The Mangler worked with The Rolling Stones and Frank Zappa, hung out with Charles Manson and then most famously stole Gram Parsons corpse, drove it to Joshua Tree and set it on fire. They even made a film out of his story and Johnny Knoxville played him.

On The Road: The Mangler has had sex with more murderers than anyone in showbusiness. And he burnt Gram Parsons.
