FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
STANMORE III
WHAT ARE THE KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ACTON III, STANMORE III AND WOBURN III?

The major difference is the size, and consequently the driver and amp configurations, which then dictates the sonic performance and audio experience, making these speakers suitable for different room sizes and varying loudness. Most of the connectivity and controls are the same across the models, with the exception of Acton, which doesn't have RCA input though, and Woburn, which is the only model in the family that comes equipped with a HDMI connector, making it more convenient to use with a TV.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN STANMORE II AND STANMORE III?

The outer dimensions and overall concept are the same. The biggest difference is on the inside.

IMPROVED ACOUSTICS – the new generation sounds much better. They are less directional with a wider sweet spot; they will sound more consistent across the volume settings and the sound is more refined in general. There is also a Placement Compensation feature in the app.

IMPROVED SUSTAINABILITY – the speakers are now PVC-free and plastic parts are made with post–consumer recycled plastics.

HARDWARE READY FOR LE AUDIO – This future-proof technology will deliver superior audio quality, while increasing streaming range and improving audio sync, for a noticeably better connection when you’re watching video. Also on its way is the multi-Stream feature that will allow you to connect to multiple speakers from one device, as well as a new Bluetooth capability, Auracast™ broadcast audio, that will allow you to receive Auracast™ broadcast audio from other devices. When this next-generation Bluetooth technology is released, you can feel secure knowing that your speaker is ready for it.

We’ve also made a few small changes to the front. It will now come in three different tones to better match the style of your home. And the control panel on the top is far simpler to use.

DO I NEED AN APP TO USE THIS PRODUCT?

No, you don't need an app to use the product. But the app will give you several advantages, such as over-the-air software updates, which will give you the latest and greatest user experience, and the ability to use the app as a remote.

HOW DO I PAIR A NEW DEVICE?

  • Use the source button to select Bluetooth.
  • Push the source button until the Bluetooth LED pulses red.
  • Select STANMORE III from your audio device’s Bluetooth list.

Stanmore III can be connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. If a connected device is playing, a second connected device cannot start playing until the first device is paused.

WHERE DO I PLACE IT IDEALLY IN MY HOME?

With the new Placement Correction you can place it anywhere in your home and adjust for it in the Marshall app.

DO I NEED THE APP TO ADJUST EQ?

No, the EQ can also be adjusted using the top controls on the speaker.

IS THE PRODUCT MADE OF REAL LEATHER?

No, at Marshall Headphones we choose never to use any animal-based material in our products.
