DO YOU LIKE NOODLES WITH RICH, FATTY PORK BELLY? HOW ABOUT UNCONVENTIONAL BEER FROM COPENHAGEN’S FINEST CRAFT BREWERY? IF THE UNION BETWEEN THOSE TWO THINGS MAKES YOU NOD YOUR HEAD IN HUNGRY APPROVAL, THEN LOOK NO FURTHER THAN RAMEN TO BÍIRU.
The brainchild of Mikkeller, Copenhagen’s famously delicious and experimental craft brewery, and Japanese chef Takuro Otani, Ramen to Bíiru serves up steaming bowls of the nourishing Japanese soup in an ambience that’s about as Tokyo as you can get in the Nordics. You order by punching your choice of soup on a sort of slot machine, and you can buy your craft beer from a vending machine if you like.
Now, there are plenty of ramen choices for the ramen connoisseur, even three vegan one's, but ignore all those temptations and get the Spicy Miso Ramen. It’s sure to take you on a high-speed train to umami heaven with every slurp. Ramen to Bíiru is located in central Nørrebro, on Griffenfeldsgalde, but if you feel that ramen craving coming back for a second time, there’s another branch in Vesterbro, and now in Østerbro too.
